Gardening – on the kitchen window

The other day, whilst investigating our local health food shop, I found a “sproutapouch”. Intrigued, I had to give it a try! If you fancy it, you can also buy them from Lakeland.

It is basically a mini greenhouse in a bag. You put the compacted compost in the bag, add some water, watch it magically expand (bizarely I found this more exciting than my 3yr old did) then add seeds. Seal, and hang in your window. In 6-10 days you will be eating mini rocket (unless you buy one of the other seed types 😉 ).

I’ll update each day, as a photo diary:

DAY 0 – SEEDS SOWN

DAY 1 – SEEDS STARTING TO SPROUT (apologies for rubbish pic!)

DAY 2 – LEAVES VISIBLE

DAY 3 – PROPER LITTLE PLANTS!

DAY 4 – 2-3cm TALL NOW

DAY 5 – CHECK OUT THESE BAD BOYS!
