Clandestine cake club

Tonight I’ve been to the inaugral Spen Valley meeting, held in a lurvely coffee shop in Cleckheaton.

Theme was a little of what you fancy, so mine includes chocolate, cheese & purple – some of my fave things!

This is my cake before i had speed bump traumas in transit 😉 Its chocolate cake with purple cream cheese frosting, and sprinkled dried strawberries:

        haha – I thought that too about mine! I think mine was a bit too plain for cake club 🙂 (but I’m a newbie baker so am only just starting out!)

        I did know that sorry, mental blank! With my Mary berry hat on, a lovely even bake nice colour yummy!?

        It was of course a Mary Berry recipe 😉
        I baked my first cake about 6 weeks ago as a practise for last night. I burnt the one I baked on Wednesday evening tho’ (oops!)
